New Stuff Monday

I had a few errands to run after work today, and am pretty excited about some of the items I ended up with; not counting the new (unpictured) paper towels and light bulbs I had to get.  Anyway,  a couple Sundays ago I happened to catch an Elvis gospel documentary on the radio and couldn't help but get the cd today, which I'm listening to right now. 

Then when I got home, my neighbor (who's a grad student studying plants at UGA) gave me a basil plant, chives and parsley that she had too much of!

They will go nicely with the tomato seedlings already on the window sill that Jessie gave me last week (we don't know what type of tomatoes they are, it will be a surprise).

You'll notice of course, that nothing is sacred in my kitchen and I unfortunately have to keep a dog gate up on the counter to prevent the felines from knocking everything over and snacking.  I'll really be in trouble when I get some of the cat nip tomorrow that my neighbor also said I could have.  We'll see!
