Tough Mudder

Last weekend in Central Texas, Todd did his second Tough Mudder competition, and as can be expected, he totally SERVED IT!!

The course was 12 miles of pretty much the gnarliest, most physically grueling obstacles you can imagine.  Above is a 20 foot drop into black water, and it's my understanding that every bit of water they were able to get into was FREEZING.

Todd isn't in this picture above, but it's a good example of the fact he was able to complete every obstacle including this one without requiring assistance.  I don't know if any of you have tried to run up a half pipe even when it's clean and dry, but it is a LOT steeper than this picture does justice!!

And back by popular demand is the electric forest everyone had to run through at the end.  Todd isn't in these close ups either, but it's just perspective to show you what he just did before his crowning finish at the end.

And there he is, after completing the 12 mile course in four hours!!  You REALLY have to go here and here and even just a quick scroll will give you a pretty good sense of what he accomplished---mucking through mud pits, crawling under pirate webbing and barbed wire, shimmying through utility pipes, climbing walls - it's unreal.  Turns out there were a fair amount of women at this thing and Todd almost has me convinced I'm interested in thinking about trying one some day.

Congratulations Todd, I am definitely IMPRESSED!!!!!!!!!!

  1. I would want to do it just for how muddy you get. It's possible that I would fink out on the electric forest though...
